Kelli Linke is used to moving quickly. While on a break from her student athlete responsibilities during college in 2009, she jumped at the chance to find a new, fast-paced challenge. Kelli participated in a group interview for a Bath & Body Works seasonal associate position, describing her favorite scents from the brand’s collection. From her first few months supporting the holiday push to joining the Talent Acquisition team as a Store Recruiter last year, Kelli feels the energy and enthusiasm around the holiday season across all positions with the company.
“Holiday is always at the forefront, and that’s why it’s so special with us … we never stop thinking about it, and we’re passionate about how it uplifts our business, from sales to associate giving efforts,” said Kelli. “It’s more than a marathon – and I run marathons.”
Kelli’s experience in both field and corporate roles showed her how closely Bath & Body Works teams work together to advance and optimize promotions and activities across the network’s over 1,800 stores. Marketing, store operations, planning, compensation, HR and field teams prioritize initiatives all year long, and Kelli often observes and participates in planning efforts for the next season right after the current holiday season is over.
One thing keeping Kelli at Bath & Body Works for multiple holiday seasons is how she continues to receive dedicated and attentive support from different leaders, especially during times of change. When Kelli wanted to move from Nebraska to a larger city, her manager brought up an opportunity in Chicago, where she stayed for over a decade and became a top store manager in the region. After enjoying success in that role, Kelli expressed her interest in joining the company’s HR team, and her then-manager helped her take actionable steps to make this dream a reality.
“I love being able to influence and inspire candidates coming in our doors,” said Kelli. “We work for a brand that really values people and puts their needs first.”
Kelli is excited to continue applying her own firsthand experiences managing stores – and emerging trends – to the Talent Acquisition team in her current role. Whether that means reaching new generations with creative recruiting efforts, holding larger scale hiring events, or expanding programs around inclusivity, Kelli is optimistic about everything that’s ahead for Bath & Body Works’ workforce.
“If you’re thinking about joining Bath & Body Works, remain a student – whether its day one for you or year 25, we’re a growing company, and we can’t grow if we remain the same,” said Kelli.
